It’s paperback publication day for Fragile! There’s a Director’s Cut deleted scene at the back, and the cover is beautiful enough to make a gorgeous gift.
Look out for it in your favourite indie bookshop, Waterstones, online via Amazon or Hive (which supports local indies) or with free shipping worldwide at The Book Depository.

I’m absolutely thrilled to find Fragile included on Ian Rankin’s Top Ten Books of 2021. I’ve been a fan of Ian’s books for as long as I can remember, so this beats Santa’s List, for me!
Of Fragile, Ian says, ‘ … shades of Ruth Rendell, Joe Orton and Daphne du Maurier in this provocative novel about a homeless woman taken in as a housekeeper but whose demons are not far behind.’
I’d recommend reading all of Ian’s book picks as they sound brilliant, and what better way to spend the Christmas period than reading?
On that note, I’d like to wish you all a very Happy Christmas, and a safe and peaceful New Year.

I’m thrilled to be in the Author Spotlight in October’s issue of the Bookseller, talking with Alison Flood about my D.I. Marnie Rome series, and the influences behind – and the writing of – my first standalone, Fragile. You can read the full interview here.
